Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and organized Librarian to manage the school library and support students and staff in accessing resources. The ideal candidate will foster a love of reading, ensure efficient library operations, and integrate technology to enhance learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize, maintain, and catalog library resources (books, digital media, periodicals).
  • Assist students and staff in locating and using library materials.
  • Promote literacy and research skills through programs and activities.
  • Manage library budget and procure new materials as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with copyright laws and school policies.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive library environment.
  • Integrate technology and digital resources into library services.
  • Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum and research projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • State certification or licensure as required.
  • Strong organizational and cataloging skills.
  • Proficiency with library management systems and digital tools.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS).
  • Experience in a school or educational library setting.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and digital learning platforms.
